Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 28 June 2026
This policy keeps Marina safe and reliable for everyone. It applies to everything you host or run on the service. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Content you may not host
- Anything illegal under the laws of Ghana or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Malware, viruses, phishing pages, or content designed to deceive or defraud.
- Child sexual abuse material, or content that exploits or endangers minors.
- Content that promotes violence, harassment, or hatred against people.
Activities you may not carry out
- Sending spam or bulk unsolicited messages from our service.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the security of systems you do not own without permission.
- Trying to break the isolation between customers or escape your environment.
- Launching denial of service attacks or otherwise disrupting the service or its users.
Fair use of resources
Run your own sites, applications, and databases on the resources you pay for. Do not use the service to mine cryptocurrency, to resell raw hosting to others, or in a way that places an unreasonable load on shared infrastructure and harms other customers.
Enforcement
If something on your account breaks this policy, we may remove the content, suspend the resource, or suspend the account, depending on how serious it is. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. Serious or repeated violations may lead to your account being closed.
Reporting abuse
If you see something hosted on Marina that breaks this policy, please tell us at hello@harpoonsms.com so we can look into it.
